1890s YANKEE BOY & GIRL Travelling LION COFFEE Card SPANISH COSTUME Banjo

This Coffee card  was issu
ed
by the Woolson Spice company of the Unit
ed
States of America as an insert premium in their brands of Lions Coffee during
the 1890s.I could not find this listed 
in any guide that I am aware of (American Card Catalogue , Non Sports
Bible ect.) This series seems to be a subset of a larger group of cards that
were issued by Woolson under the title “Picture Cards”.  In this case the subset is titled “ The
Yankee Boy and Girl Traveling”  and
feature and American Boy and Girl dressed up in the costumes of different
nations.  The back has advertising for
Lion Coffee and States “A Picture Card in each package of the Lion Coffee now
at your Grocers.  Many Designs.”  It has a Poem about the particular nation
being featured and also states that there are 12 different cards in this
series.  The card features SPANISH
COSTUME.  The Card measures 3 15/16  inches by 2 13/16  inches approximately.  The card is free from creases, and relatively
sharp corners.     I have scanned the card fairly large for you
to be able to judge condition for yourself.

that are unrecorded in any guide, that were put given away with Tobacco,
Caramel, Candy, Gum, Chocolate, Bread Coffee Tea Cereal and other products,
covering such diverse subjects as Native American Indians , Baseball ,
Football, Boy Scouts, Ice Hockey, Golf, Presidents of the United States, NCAA
and IVY League Colleges and Universities and Circus themes.  To view the

actually located in Canada just across the border.
I
have a U.S.A. mailing address, and I mail my items from the USA to avoid border
delays.
Due to my work schedule and
distance to the post office I am only able to ship  Monday Mornings

will have to wait until the next Monday  to go out. Its unfortunate
