Up for sale is a 1981 DMC-12 DeLorean in well kept condition and runs well for a 1981 car. See my video! The sole model produced by the DeLorean Motor Company (DMC), the DeLorean or “DMC-12” was assembled in Northern Ireland and built from January of 1981 up until December of 1982 when the company went bankrupt with approximately 9,000 cars produced. The car is most notable for its distinctive stainless-steel bodywork, exotic gullwing doors, and its role as the time machine in the Back to the Future movie franchise. This 5-speed with low miles, this delorean at 18,173 miles on the odometer is a collector’s dream. This is the exact combo for the back to the future car for those that want to build a time machine. The time machine was a 5-speed car with gray interior.
Ready to take it to the car shows & for weekend cruises. Definitely gets a lot of attention & questions at the cars and coffee. Powering the DeLorean is a mid-mounted Peugeot-Renault-Volvo (PRV) 2.85L V6 engine with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection.  As much as 130 HP and 153 lb.-ft of torque are sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. Recent service included the installation of new brakes, spark plugs, wires, ignition cap and rotor, rubber fuel lines, and a stainless-steel expansion tank.
The four-wheel independent suspension includes double wishbones up front and a multilink setup in the rear.  Stopping power is handled by power-assisted disc brakes at all four corners. This sale will include the Delorean manual, and spare tire as well and a clean title.
Original grey interior with Bridge of Weir leather seats, air conditioning, and power windows, door locks, and mirrors.  Other standard features include a tilt/telescopic steering wheel, intermittent windshield wipers, and an electric rear-window defroster.  The cabin of this example remains well preserved with exception of the dashboard, A-pillar covers, and weatherstripping have been replaced, while the seats were reupholstered under prior ownership. FM radio works but hard to get reception. A/C blows but needs freon. Check out the door jams how clean they are compared to others. New strut bars were also installed on the doors.
